This website is operated by Stillwater Tackle Limited (“Stillwater Tackle”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing our website and/or purchasing goods or services from us, you agree to these Website Terms of Service (“Terms”) and any policies referred to in them, including our Returns and Refunds Policy and Privacy Policy.

These Terms apply to all users of the website, including browsers and customers.

We may update these Terms from time to time by publishing changes on this website. Your continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Our online store is hosted by Shopify Inc, which provides the e-commerce platform we use to sell products and services.

 

1.       GENERAL CONDITIONS

We reserve the right to refuse service, cancel orders, or limit quantities where reasonably necessary, including for suspected fraud, stock limitations, pricing errors, or misuse.

Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.

 

2.      Product information and website accuracy

By purchasing from Stillwater Tackle, you agree to the following terms.

2a. Orders

When you place an order, you’re making an offer to buy. We may cancel or refuse an order if there’s a pricing error, stock issue, or suspected fraud. If payment has been taken and we cancel, we’ll refund you in full.

If you are unsure whether a product is suitable for your needs (including compatibility or fitness for a particular purpose), please contact us before purchasing.

2b. Errors and omissions

We aim to ensure information on this website is accurate and up to date. However, typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions may occur. We reserve the right to correct such errors and update information at any time, including after an order has been placed.

If an error materially affects your order, we may cancel the order and refund any amount paid.

3.      3. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to repair, replacement, or refund of the purchase price.

We’re not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from misuse or improper handling of the product.

 

4. Pricing

All prices are in NZD unless otherwise stated. If currency conversion is shown, it’s indicative only. Your bank may apply exchange fees.

Prices are subject to change without notice. All products are subject to availability. We may modify or discontinue products, services, or website content at any time.

Delivery timeframes are estimates only and may be affected by courier delays or supplier changes.

 

5.Shipping, delivery and authority to leave (ATL)

Orders ship from New Zealand. We aim to dispatch within 1–2 business days.

Delivery timeframes depend on location and courier.

Tracking details will be provided once your order ships.

If you request delivery with Authority to Leave (ATL), you authorise the courier to leave goods at the nominated address without signature. Risk passes to you once the courier records delivery.

This does not affect your rights where goods are damaged in transit or where remedies apply under the NZ or AU Consumer Guarantees Act.

For international orders, you’re responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or clearance fees charged by your country.

 

6. Product Use & Safety

The Cooper DehookerPro™ is a precision-engineered fishing tool designed specifically for hook removal. Its slim, fine-tipped profile is intentional - it allows the tool to reach deep into a fish's throat or gullet to engage and reverse the hook, giving the fish the best chance of survival on release. Because of this design, the tool must be handled with care and respect.

It is not suitable for use as a lever, hammer, or prying device, and applying force beyond its intended use may damage the fine tip and render the tool ineffective.

It is not a toy. Keep out of reach of children.

Fishing involves sharp hooks and unpredictable fish movement. Use the product carefully and deliberately, following the instructions provided on the packaging. Use is at your own risk. To the extent permitted by law, Stillwater Tackle Ltd accepts no liability for injury or product damage resulting from unsafe handling, misuse, or use outside the product's intended purpose.

7. User content

If you submit content (e.g., reviews, feedback), you grant us a non-exclusive licence to use it for website and marketing purposes. You must not submit unlawful or infringing content.

 

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and the New Zealand courts have jurisdiction.

If you have an issue, contact us at info@stillwatertackle.co.nz with your order number and details of the problem.

We aim to acknowledge enquiries within 2 business days and resolve issues as quickly as possible.
